皆是台語來的，兩個其實都是來自非常難聽的詞，"三小"現在你聽得到的話大部分是等於"WTF?!"的意思，原始意思是"啥(=what) 洨(the F)"。"靠北" 是台語 "哭爸" 轉化來的，原句應該是 "哭爸哭母"，真正意思是形容人家雙親西歸，在辦喪事哭泣的情況，當你拿來罵人就是詛咒別人的雙親掛掉的意思，不過現在大多是只取'哭"意，指說你很吵、很煩的意思，但以上兩者皆是髒話，使用上請小心

現下為語助詞使用的場合為多，但三小的中文是"現在發生什麼事"的不悅語氣，靠北原意是指當事人是不是在家治喪，講話做事哭哭湜湜的吵死人那種感覺
